Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band to Perform Free as Fremont Street Experience
presents “Summer of the ’70s”
Las Vegas Group, Wild Heart, to Play Three Nightly Shows July 27 - 31
LAS VEGAS, Nev. – July 27, 2010 – Fremont Street Experience continues to present “Summer of the ’70s” by welcoming Wild Heart, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band performing free concerts July 27-31. With chart-toppers like “Don’t Stop,” “Go Your Own Way,” and “You Make Lovin’ Fun” Fleetwood Mac is one of the most successful and beloved bands of the ‘70s. Wild Heart will perform three sets nightly, each starting after the top-of-the-hour Viva Vision shows at 9, 10 and 11 p.m.
Wild Heart is a six-member group from Las Vegas. Forming over nine years ago, the band alternates among three different lead singers to replicate the voices of Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie. Members of the band are no newcomers to the music industry with individual accomplishments including opening for Cheap Trick and Joan Jett and touring with Chuck Berry and Chubby Checker.
The band includes the following: Brad Torchin (lead vocals/lead guitar), Julie Torchin (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Sonia Kemeny (lead vocals), Dave Davis (drums/percussion), Danny Buss (bass) and Benjamin Winbury (keyboard/backup vocals).
The music and culture from the decade of the 1970s is being featured in downtown Las Vegas this summer as Fremont Street Experience presents the “Summer of the ’70s” festival and free concert series. The 102-day promotion kicked off Memorial Day Weekend and runs through Labor Day Weekend. “Summer of the ’70s” is sponsored by Corona Extra, Corona Light, Cruzan Rum, Modelo especial, Sauza Tequila Hornitos and Stoli Vodka.
