Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment Announces Changes in Sales Team Line-ups
LAS VEGAS – December 18, 2009 – Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment is pleased to announce the recent new additions and changes to their sales teams.
“We are so happy to be able to announce the recent new members of our sales teams,” said Jordan Clark, Vice President of Sales for Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment. “It is exciting to be able to demonstrate growth and positive change within our company especially now in such difficult economic times. All of our new team members are industry experts and will undoubtedly play a huge role in our future success.”
Leigh Libero began her sales career in 2002 as a tradeshow sales assistant at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Over the past 7 years, Libero has worked for several Las Vegas properties before joining the team at Las Vegas Meetings including the Venetian and Palazzo Resort Hotel Casinos, Green Valley Ranch Resort, and Fontainebleau Las Vegas. She now serves as a Natinal Sales Manager for the Western region sales team. Libero earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration from Boston University.
Jennifer Baxter, National Sales Manager, comes to Harrah’s Entertainment with over 15 years of hospitality expertise. Before joining the Harrah’s team, she had worked for Westin, Marriott, Crown Plaza, Tropicana and New York-New York. Baxter graduated in 1994 from Arizona State University with a Bachelors degree in business. She is also an active member in MPI, SGMP, LVHA and NDTA since 2004.
Regional Sales Manager, Robin Valenta, is also a seasoned hospitality veteran bringing over 13 years of hospitality experience to the Harrah’s family. Prior to her current position, Valenta spent nine years at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, two years at the Bellagio, and two years at the MGM Grand. A Las Vegas native, Valenta graduated in 1993 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Advertising.
Erin Barrett comes to the Harrah’s sales team with over 5 years experience in meeting sales. Barrett has previously worked for Sheraton Hotels in Phoenix as well as with Starwood Hotels and Resorts. Currently, Barrett serves as a sales manager at Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Barrett earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing and a certificate in tourism from the University of Northern Iowa.
David Berkoski recently joined the sales team at Las Vegas Meetings by Harrah’s Entertainment as a National Sales Manager. Berkoski offers over 27 years of management experience in sales, marketing and operations in the hospitality industry. Prior to relocating to the Las Vegas market, Berkoski perfected his hospitality skills in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Dallas and Atlanta.
Paul Howe has also recently joined the Las Vegas Meetings family as a National Sales Manager for the Eastern region sales team. He began his hospitality career at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Chicago specializing in convention services. This sparked his interest in sales and since his time at the Inter-Continental, Howe has worked for Hilton Hotels, Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, and JRK Hospitality Management. Howe grew up in England where he studied and received a degree in Hospitality Management from Middlesex University in London.
