Peter Max is America’s most well known and most collected artist. The Pop Artist is well known for his paintings of iconic Americana. His psychedelic, multi-dimensional paintings of historical landmarks in American culture have maintained their signature style and flare throughout his multi-decade career. Max’s art has appeared on everything from a Boeing 777 Continental jumbo jet, the 1999 Woodstock stage, to a giant mural at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Max’s art has also appeared in one man museum exhibitions around the world including the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Staatliche Kunsthalle Museum in Berlin and most recently, the El Paso Museum of Fine Art, Tennessee State Museum and De Young Museum in San Francisco. He has designed numerous magazine covers including Newsweek magazine.
Max has achieved his place in history having painted for various Heads of State. Often incorporating iconic symbols of America into his work, Max has painted for six U.S. presidents, created the official artwork and poster for the Clinton Inauguration, his "Flag With Heart" impressionistic paintings of the American flag are in permanent installations in the Carter, Reagan and Bush presidential libraries in addition to his statue of Liberty paintings, which have become an annual painting tradition since America's Bicentennial, in 1976 and led to Max playing a lead role in the renovation of the Statue of Liberty. From art that appeared on the first U.S. 10-cent stamp bearing the title “Preserve the Environment,” to 235 U.S. Border murals greeting millions of people entering America each year, Peter Max seeks to capture themes of America at its finest in his art.
Road Show Company (RSC) was formed by Nim Vaswani in 1997 when the company hosted an Alexandra Nechita event at the Bal Harbour Gallery in Florida. The event was so successful that it was repeated in Gallery M in Denver and Off the Wall Gallery in Houston with repeated success. RSC has emerged as the Pioneer in producing large-scale events. In 2003, a Modern Masters division was added, in partnership with Michael Schwartz of Titus Fine Art and Galerie Michael of Beverly Hills, producing shows with the original works of Picasso, Chagall, Renoir, Matisse, Miro and Rembrandt. RSC’s expertise is in providing an entire turnkey event with a Gallery investing one week of their time and minimal financial participation, enabling RSC to return to their Network of Galleries throughout the country, time and time again. RSC is located at 430 N. Rodeo Dr. in Beverly Hills. For more information, visit, www.roadshowcompany.com.
