Riviera Hotel & Casino Announces its January Comedy Club Headliners

    

LAS VEGAS - Dec. 29, 2011 – The Riviera Hotel & Casino announces the comedians set to headline at the Riviera Comedy Club this January. Guaranteed to start a riot of hilarity, this month’s line-up includes: Larry Reeb, Paul Bond, Willie Farrell, and Shayma Tash.

The Riviera Comedy Club, regarded as one of the best comedy clubs in Las Vegas, has been known to host some of the nation’s hottest comedians since 1987. At 9 p.m. on a nightly basis, audience members 18 and older can expect to hoot and holler during all 75 minutes of stand-up. Each week, the 350-seat venue brings in a refreshing combination of talent giving all in attendance something new to laugh about.

Larry Reeb is noted for being a strong, distinct, classic character with sarcastic attitude and sardonic wit. He is known to portray “Uncle Lar’,” a concerned black sheep relative who offers “tips” on everything from marriage to lotteries to children. Every tip offered is capped with his signature line, “That’s a tip from your Uncle Lar’.” Reeb is a regular character on the “The Bob & Tom Show,” has been voted Chicago Comedian of the year, and has made numerous television and radio appearances. Reeb’s wit and universal appeal makes everyone want to travel near and far to just see their Uncle Lar’. Larry Reeb will headline nightly at the Riviera Comedy Club on Jan. 2 to Jan. 8 at 9 p.m.

Paul Bond is a New York born, high energy act who promises the night to be full of physical comedy, outrageous song parodies, and assures your insides will cringe due to excessive laughing. Bond has toured with SNL enthusiast, Jim Breuer, for three years as the opening act, has been a guest on “The Roast of Denis Leary,” and the Comedy Central special of “Hardcore” with Jim Bruer and MTV’s Metallica Icon. Offering performances full of stand-up, improvisation, impressions and parodies, Bond will serve your comedy fast and furious with an adult edge. Paul Bond will headline nightly at the Riviera Comedy Club on Jan. 9 to Jan. 15 at 9 p.m.

Willie Farrell has performed in nearly every comedy club in the country in the past 25 years, though now spends most of the year onstage performing at showrooms in Las Vegas and corporate events. Farrell has been given the title of, the son of a gangster, as he is bound to kill you with his rapid-fire comebacks and hilariously sharp wit. Farrell has also been a guest on the stand-up comedy special, The Godfathers of Comedy, featured on the Showtime television network. Willie Farrell will headline nightly at the Riviera Comedy Club on Jan. 16 to Jan. 22 at 9 p.m.

Shayma Tash, whose dreary chaotic childhood helped contribute to her success as a notable female stand-up comic. Starting her career in San Diego and flourishing in Los Angeles, Tash has worked along side with legendary comedians such as Chris Rock, Geroge Lopez, Tim Allen, Bill Maher, and many others. She has made several television appearances on the Best Damn Sports Show, the Tonight Show, MTV’s Punk’d, and Chelsea Lately. Though specializing in stand-up, Tash is also known for her singing, dance, characters, and impressions. Shayma Tash will headline nightly at the Riviera Comedy Club on Jan. 23 to Jan. 29 at 9 p.m.
