The Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas and Avero Announce Partnership

LAS VEGAS – Feb. 9, 2010 – The Board of Directors of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas (ECFLV) announce today an exciting new partnership with Avero that will give one deserving ECFLV scholarship student an exclusive, behind-the-scenes immersion into the New York City hospitality and culinary industries, each year. Avero is strongly committed to supporting the mission of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas with its contributions in financial aid and mentorship opportunities to deserving students pursuing careers in the hospitality industry.

The Avero New York City Restaurant Education Experience will occur over the course of four days, in which the award recipient will meet with and learn from prominent chefs, managers and restaurateurs while experiencing some of the city’s most progressive dining trends. The student will also spend time at the Avero headquarters, meeting with the executive team and shadowing several team members to learn how Avero’s performance management technology helps food and beverage operators improve efficiency and guest experience.

“We are so appreciative of the support that Avero has provided the foundation over the years,” said Rino Armeni, founder of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation Las Vegas. “Avero has truly outdone themselves this time in creating this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience for one of our students each year.”

Avero has generously founded this annual educational experience that will help to broaden the mentorship foundation that ECFLV has already established with its current students. Damien Mogavero, CEO and Founder of Avero said, “Avero is excited to provide this opportunity with the goal of further igniting an accomplished student’s passion and enhancing his or her understanding of the incredible possibilities within our industry.”

“This partnership with Avero will provide one of our students with an opportunity to experience firsthand what it takes to operate a successful, high-profile restaurant and kitchen in New York City,” said Kevin Dimond, President of ECFLV. “This type of educational immersion is unmatched by other scholarship programs and is a testament to the commitment and dedication ECFLV and our supporters have to cultivating the future leaders of our industry.”
